Take a ride on board the Amtrak* and venture over the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in style and comfort. You will be traveling back in time on the very railroad that connected the East to the West in 1869, which was built by Chinese railroad workers after the Gold Rush.

• Viewing and dining cars are available for your enjoyment

• You may bring your own lunch or buy food on the train

• Arrive at Winnemucca for the evening at approx. 7:00pm

Stop at some of the most iconic destinations in the region such as the Snake River Canyon of Twin Falls, Shoshone Falls - also known as the Little Niagara of the West - Idaho Falls, and the Bear World Wildlife Safari*

• Rest in Rexburg Idaho for the night, which is 1.5 hours from Yellowstone

*Entrance fee for the Bear World Wildlife Safari is not included in tour fees

Spend the day in Yellowstone National Park visiting Lower, Midway, and Upper Geyser Basin. Visit the Norris and Mammoth Hot Springs area including Pallet Springs and Canary Springs.  

• Enjoy a whitewater rafting experience* on the Yellowstone River 

• End the day with a soak in the natural mineral hot springs outside the park

• Journey to the hotel in Gardiner if available. If not, Livingston.

*White-water rafting experience cost not included in tour fee

Enter Yellowstone National Park from the North Gate and return to the land before time for the second day. Experience Yellowstone Grand Canyon at Artist Point, Upper and Lower Falls, Mud Volcano, Dragon's Mouth Spring, Fishing Bridge, and finally the West Thumb Geyser Basin. 

• Enter Grand Teton and stop at Jackson Lake Lodge in Oxbow Bend 

• Relive the old frontier days of the West, and take part in the Chuck Wagon Cookout with musical performances in the woods

• Spend the night in beautiful Pinedale

Witness the ideal location for a spectacular sunrise in Grand Teton, the Mormon Row. Stop at the Glacier Point Pullout for a panoramic view of the magnificent Tetons.  

• Go horseback riding and stop at Antler Park in the middle of town for food as well as the opportunity to browse shops

• Travel to Salt Lake City for the night

Visit Salt Lake City’s Temple Square, the Utah State Capitol, and stop by the Bonneville Salt Flats near Wendover. 

• Visit Elko's Saddle Museum and break for lunch at the Star Hotel dining room

• Which will be serving local Basque Cuisine

• Visit the California Trail Interpretive Museum  

• Arrive at Reno and relax for the evening

Virginia City takes you back in time to the old mining days of yesteryear.  It is filled with interesting stories and a very well-preserved historical town with lots of unique shops and memorabilia stores to browse through.  Take a tour of the town in the morning to become acquainted; one can easily spend an entire day there.
